I woke up this morning

Thinking about a quilt I would like to try using Lite Steam a Seam. For years applique has just not had any appeal for me. Don’t get me wrong I really love to see what others can do with applique I just don’t want to take the time to do it myself. And now, I wake up thinking about it.
Time to embrace a new area of quilting!

  1. Go for it! I’m not a big fan of fusible appy either but have done it – most happy with it when I’ve cut the center of the fusible out so that it fuses the outer edges in place and the inside is still ‘free to be poofy later’… I did that with 3″ flowers then stitched along the edges with invisible thread. I have 2 lap quilts that look like large wreaths with flowers stuck in them.

  2. Reminds me of the Teri I met about 8 years ago… who like to look at quilts that were machine quilted and now look at you! Go for it… with a little practice, who knows where it might take you. As you know I love applique, but for me Wonder Under is my choice of fusible web.

Play and find the one right for you….

    1. It’s that little curved piece that stick up from the bobbin case. There is a little hole at the top of it that you can put the thread through. That adds a little bit of tension from the bobbin thread. I’m thinking that machines with drop in bobbins won’t have that, I could be mistaken though.
