Quilting is a Beautiful and Complicated Art -From hand work to finishing touches “Quilting is a Beautiful & Complicated Art!” Explore with Teri the myriad of quilting options in the quilt making process and how to find your own quilterly voice. Teri shares her journey from a dedicated hand quilter to embracing and teaching machine work developing a deep appreciation of the entire quilting community. I will be bringing both hand & machine quilted pieces!
Beginner Freemotion Quilting – Enjoy the process of machine quilting covering needles, thread, batting choices, basting options and yes! machine quilting. Learn how to relax your shoulders and breathe through the process. Straight lines, curves, stippling!
And now What?! – Practice machine quilting without ever taking a stitch. Using blank paper & quilt blocks printed on paper work towards improving machine quilting technique by trying a variety of quilting motifs on a quilt before sitting at the machine. After practicing techniques we will discuss the quilts you bring to class.
Let Your Foot Loose, Be Fancy & Free – Take machine quilting to the next level. Learn how practicing effectively will develop skill as a machine quilter.
