MQX show update

To say I’m having fun would be an understatement.  At the Ice Cream Social Mary Schilke & Janet-Lee sang a parody of the “Brady Bunch”  So funny!  With everything else these two do for show prep this must keep them in stitches.

Each of the teachers/vendors who had a table were invited to share a little bit about who we are, what we do and then had the chance to talk with the quilters who were there for today’s classes.

Since I had to go over to the convention center and was driving over I offered Claudia Pfeil and her friend Merete a ride over.  After opening the trunk I ran back in to get my teaching stuff from a sweet group of quilters who I left my stuff with to I could get the car.  Upon coming out I found Claudia in her seat in the car.

Quilters are way more fun!

I had a full class today and just had a blast!  After several hours of teaching and having the students work, work, work I sat down to demonstrate feathers with and without the Bernina Stitch Regulator.  My students didn’t let me down as I heard, relax your shoulders, reduce your speed!  I love my students!  I’m looking forward to tomorrows “Let Your Foot Loose be Fancy Free” intermediate/advanced class.  If today is any indication it’s going to be a great class.

The windows from the teachers room overlooks the show floor.  This is roughly what the webcam sees.  Guess what booth this is?  Superior Threads.  Big Surprise I know. They’re just getting set up for the preview tonight after the awards.

On of my quilts is coming home with an award.  I got the email last night and will let know as soon as I know which one.  It’s very exciting and I can’t wait to find out!  I also get to award a ribbon to a quilt/quilter which I’ll do either tonight or most likely sometime tomorrow!

Happy quilting!

Teri

  1. I am so glad that you’re having so much fun and your SOLD OUT class went so well! Next one will be just as great I’m sure. I knew that there had to be a story behind that picture of Claudia. Although with her there really doesn’t need to be!
I think my email got lost in the Internet but since I like JL so much I’m willing to overlook it… :). Congrats again on your award and can’t wait to see your pretty ribbon!

    1. McLisa I’m sure it got lost in the internet. I’ll have a photo of your quilt tomorrow with me 🙂
