A day out & some fun news!

my day out 002Yesterday I met Melanie Testa and Victoria Findlay Wolf for lunch. There’s a great little marketplace with a bunch of food trucks and an outdoor seating area. What a glorious afternoon to sit outside and enjoy the sun, good food and good company.  Melanie has a new fabric line coming out with Windham Fabrics – check out her video here.
We got to see a couple of the quilts that Melanie has pieced and a couple that others pieced and quilted. There is a broad range of quilts which really show off the entire line well. I’m so happy for her!
Victoria has a column in The Quilt Life! How cool is that. Way to go Victoria.

Back to the Norther Star Show
I loved these modern quilt quilts on display – they are from Cherri house and City Sky is quilted by Angela Walters.

  1. Thank you so much for posting about Melanie……..I am totally in love with her new fabrics!!!!!! My head is spinning with ideas!!!!!!!!!!

  2. What a fun day you had with some of my favorite people. I am loving that people like yourself, Melly, and Victoria, who have worked so hard to follow their dreams are seeing all that work pay off. Love the new line of fabrics from Melly, of course, I am biased. 🙂 Love the modern quilts. I try to move away from an Amish influence and then I see qults like these and it makes me want to dig out the solids. Have a fabulous weekend!
