Dream Fulfilled

One thing I’ve dreamed of is having a quilt hang in the Sacred Threads Exhibit in Herndon, VA. I haven’t done much in the way of serious quilt exploring and making in the last few years so entering this show hasn’t even been on my radar. There’s this whole thing about eating and a roof over my head that is oddly appealing. But I digress.

Looking at the dates/deadlines a notation is now in my calendar for September to give consideration of entering a quilt in next years exhibit. We shall see.

So, ya know how you see something written on facebook, and think, “Oh! that’s cool” but never really make the connection with the coolness and yourself? Weird, right? Pokey Bolton of Crafting a Life posted that Live Your Brightest Life a tribute to Yvonne Porcella is on it’s way to Sacred Threads. And then the dime drops, the connection is made. MY Quilt is going to be in Sacred Threads. So if you’re going to the show would you send me a picture please? I’d love to see it hanging with the other quilts again.

The quilt will come home after that so I’ll have it with me at the Dutchess Heritage Quilt Show in October.

Happy Quilting!

Teri

  1. Congrats on a dream come true! As Lao Tzu said “If you do not change direction, you may end up where you’re heading.” Didn’t know about the Dutchess show — going to put that on my calendar to make up for not being able to go to the NSQG show in May.
