I love Rainy Days and Mondays!

Cue Karen Carpenter

I love her voice. I love rainy days – usually. And Monday’s – most of the time.

It’s rainy here in New York City, we’ve received two flood alerts already. Renee posted that a couple of our local roads are flooded, one stranding a vehicle, that would be a wee bit scary.

Paula posted the first challenge for the Quilt Lab at Gotham Quilts. Join the Quilt Lab and join in on the fun, and growth as a quilter artist. I’m challenged to make the gray be the star and on this gray, overcast, rainy Monday: game on!

Over the weekend I visited the Beachplum Quilters show in Toms River. I won a door prize! A corduroy tote bag with a pattern and a fat quarter, how fun is that. There were about 45 – 50 quilts, a few vendors including Quilting Possibilities, and Dippy Dyes. Would you be surprised that I bought fabric from both? From QP 5 yards of lime green that I think is going to be made into a Double Irish Chain, and 1 1/2 yards of orange and 1 yard of gray from Dippy Dyes. Swoon. Watch Instagram later today/tomorrow for pics.

IMG_20180106_121854 (2)Today I’m working on A New Moon Rises and gathering stuff for the Pelham Quilters Guild Meeting tonight. We’d love to have you join us. I’m sharing some things gathered from previous Quilt Markets. This is freeing up space in my studio and in my brain. Both are good things. My brain clearing up is a good thing as the quilt designs are returning.

Stay tuned for Quilted Block of the Month and other quilts to quilt.

Happy Stitching!
