Scott Hansen Tie One On

One of the reasons going to Quilt Market with either the Magazine or on my own is so important is getting to see the new fabric lines, and new designers. With the eclectic flair and unique color sensibilities Scott Hansen, my predecessor as Community Editor, has designed Tie One On with Banyan Batiks, due out in October. Banyan Batiks is a division of Northcott Fabrics. I love the 1950’s vibe with these great colors.

Scott created four different color ways: Nashville, Manhattan, Sedona, and Ventura. Each with it’s own feel representing the areas well.  As you can imagine Manhattan is something of a New York City vibe with rich blacks, reds and grays. I’ll be working with this in September for a blog hop right at the beginning of my favorite season, autumn. I’m paring this with either a solid from another line or batiks in my stash.

80190-59Tie One On will hit the shops in October make sure to get you some and by some I mean yards.

Make sure to visit Scott on all the appropriate social media.

Happy Quilting!

  1. I love a day enjoying simple pleasures – coffee at one of our favorite places, strolling the Plaza, lunch at a favorite restaurant, taking a drive, and spending time in the evening catching up with family & friends while sitting by a fire in the kiva sipping hot chocolate
The interview was great. I just discovered Scott this year, and so gald I did.
Thanks for offering a nice giveaway..
