I met Erin in Salt Lake City at Spring International Quilt Market in 2014 where her first book, Sew in Style with C&T debuted. Her excitement bubbled over as she talked about the book. Tracy wrote the book reviews for both books as her daughter loved the 18” dolls and made one of the projects in the book.
After perusing Doll Dress Boutique I think it’s important to just get all three books. Yes, I did just say that. Erin has a way of presenting garment making that makes sense to my brain. Her step outs are clear, showing each technique well. I love that the dresses have a bespoke quality incorporating hand work, and unique trim.
Quilters, these dresses are fat quarter friendly, allowing us the option of using our stash, creating one of a kind looks. The kids can choose the fabrics that they love, deepening a sense of creativity. With older kids who sew, let them do some of the simpler seams and hand stitching;. Just a reminder it doesn’t need to be perfect.

Looking forward to Erin’s book(s) – the black/white striped dress is just so classy! I think the best place I’ve ever purchased fabric is SAS Fabrics in Phoenix & Tempe, AZ. Every visit is an amazing treasure hunt through not only their fabrics, but laces, trims, accessories!
The best place I ever purchased fabric was a local place called Jerry’s. It closed down and now all we have in town is Joann and Hobby Lobby. That’s where I buy fabric now.

Hands down, the best place I have purchased fabric is Hancock’s of Paducah. I just received the most precious granddaughter and hope to make lots of doll baby dresses. Having had all boys,,,I am about to embark on a whole new experience and I thank God every day for sending this little angel to me. I love reading the blogs.

My local quilt shop is great. When I travel I always find the quilt shops.
Love these doll dresses, my granddaughter loves dressing up dolls.
I try to shop local shops when I can, but usually end up shopping Hancock of Paducah or Fabric Depot for sale prices. I love making doll clothes especially the 18″ dolls. Would love to win this book!
