Still Waters

Thirty-one years ago I met my Sweetie. We were friends for nearly two years before we started dating, and dated for about another two or so before we got married. I’m still smitten. He took this photo sometime after we started dating and carries it around in one of the books he keeps with him in the house and/or car. I still like this guy.

You all know when I’m quiet here there are things going on behind the scenes that I’ll share later on. Let’s just say still waters run deep and this quilter is excited. So onto some quilterly things you ready?

I showed you some photos a few weeks ago of boxes sent off, manuscript and photos uploaded for this book. In between appointments and a few meetings I’ve been emailing with C&T. The book now has a title, and will be out in July 2020. I will let you in on it as soon as I can. On their suggestion there are some changes made in the order of the book. In reading it, it’s a great change. Thank you Roxane, Amy, Liz, Katie and all who are working to make this beautiful. Expect more excited posts when I can.

I can hardly believe I’m at this point with the book. It’s a bit surreal, particularly since I had to give up the first book while working at a store that was closing. in the middle of that gut-wrenching moment I managed to make Shine Your Light. I knew this quilt didn’t belong to me when I made it. It’s in a good home.

So, on one of my trips to Central New York I happened upon Bloom Quilt Shop (link to blog post) and Retreat (link to website) in Margaretville NY. This place is well worth the trip, will hold six, has a great kitchen, and amazing sewing space. The shop has a modern feel with great color all around.

On Sunday September 22 I’ll be at the Quilted Nest in Collingswood NJ demoing the BERNINA Stitch Regulator and other feet for quilters. I’ll post more information as the time gets closer

The following Sunday, September 29 I’ll be at Pieceful Quilting in East Northport, NY sharing quilts from Northcott and if time permits I’ll do a little bit of demoing free-motion quilting on the Sweet 16.

Happy Stitching,

Teri
