Twenty twenty, Imagine and Beauty

Twenty twenty is off to an amazing start in ways that I’m looking forward to sharing over the next several months.

What I can share with you now is that I’m teaching at International Quilt Festival in Houston, I have two classes Beginner Machine Quilting and The Weight of Color (a drawing style class). As soon as the classes are live I’ll link over to them.

I applied to and was accepted to teach at Threads of Success at Fall Market. I’m honored to be on the faculty for this event. I’m offering “On Writing” where I’ll cover ways that we can use our writing skills and how to connect in the quilting world. Some of this will come from mistakes and successes. The mistakes are stepping stones to growth and make the successes sweeter.

I have a pattern coming out in June with Quiltmaker Magazine. Getting published, like teaching, is an honor and privilege. Somewhere around the publication I’ll be doing a remake of the quilt and sharing short vids of how I’m quilting it differently than how it appears in the magazine. I can hardly wait to share this with you.

When I chose Imagine as my #2020wordoftheyear I was thinking about making quilts and things from quilts. I knew my book would be coming out but had no idea of the other opportunities that would come my way. Apparently my imagination needs to broaden its scope. So, if you could imagine one thing for you what might it be? I’m imagining a few things and need to put some work in before I can get to those things. One of the things I like to imagine most is teaching more. Now’s the best time to reserve your space on my late 2020 and 2021 calendar. Email me at terificreations at gmail dot com

Happy Quilting,

Teri
