International Quilt Market Announcement

Since 2014 (see photo) I’ve been attending Market as Media, reporting on and sharing with you, my incredibly faithful readers, as much of the new products, cool fabrics, and fascinating people as possible. With a show this size it’s not ever possible to cover everything. I was, as many were, looking forward to going to Houston in a few weeks. Last night (9/16) around 8 PM the email went out that Quilt Market is cancelled for this year, with the next scheduled Quilt Market in Salt Lake City spring 2022.

From Karey: We had hoped and planned to be able to bring Quilt Market back and back strong
to a live in-person show next month…a “return to normal” that we all wanted. But
it’s just not realistically feasible given the current climate and conditions. We
would not want to produce a show that is not beneficial for you, or not up to our
company’s high standards.

I am certain of one thing, making this decision had to be incredibly difficult. The Quilts, Inc staff is currently limited so if you have questions please give them some time to respond.

I am thinking of ways that I can support some of the smaller vendors and will be looking to reach out to them to feature their product here on TerifiCreations. If you are an indie designer, have a new pattern line, new fabric line, book, or something you were exhibiting at Quilt Market please reach out to me at terificreations2 at gmail.com and let’s get you featured here.

Also, let’s meet up at Salt Lake City in April 2022!

Teri
