Sometimes being a quasi-newbie is weird

you’re seeing this video out of order and feels really weird. if you would take a moment and let me know if this is useful for you. Yes I have room to improve with lighting and such, that’s in the works. My sweetie is looking into what I need, and I can assure you it’ll be what I need for the next 8 years. 🙂

Happy Stitching,

Teri

  1. Yes, it is helpful to me. I bought a new machine a few months ago and am working on my free motion. Really enjoyed you on The Quilt Showa d ordered your book. Love your work.

  2. myquiltprojects – A full time mom, maid, cook, employee, with quilting scootched in wherever possible. I am part of a team, my team allows or disallows the hobby to feast or famine. I like to challenge myself and may go a different route to get to the same destination. The art of sewing and quilting must not be allowed to slowly fade away and I am here to help prevent that. I make no money as a result of my hobby. Most of mine are give-a-ways or keeps. I hope you find what I put out there useful and I also hope it puts a smile on your face.

Marvelous video! Your window behind you is casting a bright spot in the wrong spot. If you placed the camera in that corner and faced the window while you film, you will be able to take advantage of the natural lighting which is trying to shine through.

  3. terryknott – I enjoy the process of making a quilt from start to finish. It is fun to use a variety of fabric types from batik to Civil War reproductions--although not in the same project! I ALWAYS have more projects started than I finish these days and I'm trying to turn those works in progress into finished quilts.

I too use Joen’s color chart for thread and it is one of my favorite tools too!! I LOVED your video. You are so great at making a challenging task not only doable but fun! I think you meant 40 wt thread and size 90 needle because I’m not familiar with size 40 needles. . .
