and features a whole lot of quilters, artists, art quilters and me. C&T pulled from the depth of their authors to create this one of a kind look at mastering the Art of Color Confidence. These sound like big concepts, yet understanding color begins when we are really little, as we are learning to speak when we begin to understand the very interesting ideas that each thing has a unique look to it and we begin to identify the varying color patterns in our world. I haven’t seen the book yet, however I do know what pages are included. They are some of my faves in the book as I “talk to the color” with how I see it and what it does in quilt making – at least from my viewing point. There will be more on this later including a bit on C&T’s Creative Spark. Stay Tuned my friends.
On December 11 I’m participating in a virtual book tour for Patty Murphy’s Zero Waste Quilting. I’ll record an episode of The Book Report for this.
There are a few new podcasts up on YouTube for Quilters Rule the World. Including this:
The rest of the episode will go live soonish. We recorded another that we’ll share next week.
If you’ve reached this far, thanks for hanging with me. The big finish is a quilted stole for a Deacon celebrating his 20th anniversary of his Ordination. The quilting is white on white swirling feathers and includes his name, Ordination Date, Anniversary date and a prayer. Now onto a Dalmatic that needs something of a quick turn around. Color matching can be a bit of a process and the fabric should be in tomorrow.
And finally it’s usually around this time of year where I talk about my word of the year. I’ve kept this up for years though I’ve taken most of the discussion over to A Quilters Heart. I’ll reflect more on both there over the weekend. In the mean time, try that new thread. Go ahead, I double dog dare you.
Happy Quilting,
Teri
