I’ve worked on and nearly finished a customer quilt – just need to finish the binding.
Made a block for Mary Anne. Members of the guild make blocks for a Presidents quilt for our outgoing president. Colors, unique to the president, and size are specified beyond that, it’s up to us. Mary Anne, when you get the block I left it oversized intentionally.
Mary Anne is celebrating her 50 1/2 birthday Saturday June 13th in New Rochelle. Details are on her website. Feel free to drop by for part of the afternoon to see her quilts. I’m going to quilt one of them for her sometime between now & enough time to get the quilt bound. Thankfully it’s under 40 x 40, so I can quilt it in a relatively short amount of time.
This is another quilt from the Northern Star Show. It seems as though it’s a take off on Ricky Tims Rhapsody quilts. There are several components of this quilt that I really like color, symmetry, movement and the careful planning.
And now I can check one more quilt off my list – purple & orange. I’ve wanted to make a purple & orange quilt for a really long time and now I have. I’m still stitching the facing on and will be sending this piece off to NQA for the Little Quilt Auction.
Here is a link to a pattern I just tested for Benartex. It was fun and the quilt might even be in Pittsburgh for Market. I’ll post pics in a day or two of the minkee on the back.
Happy Quilting!
Teri

I’m a big fan of purple and orange too — I just did one of my flower boxes in those colors and I have a quilt for my daughter on the design wall in those shades too! I like yours!
I like the Rhapsody quilt. I also like the fact that it uses paper piecing vs alot of applique because it gives the rhapsody such a different look, although it’s design is definitely rhapsody.
I like your convergence colors. It brought back memories. One year my son’s favorite color was purple and my daughter,s was orange. I’m glad your classes are going so well. Carolyn in Kerrville, TX
