Mini groups

I’m writing an article on mini groups and would love your input…
why you founded the group
what the group is about (art, dear jane, comraderie)
what do you like about your mini group
if there is anything you could change what would it be?
Thanks for your help!

  1. Melly Testa – I am an artist and the author of three crafting books, Playful Fabric Printing, published by Crafting A Life LLC, Inspired to Quilt, published by Interweave in May 2009 and Dreaming from the Journal Page, North Light April 2012. I live in Connecticut, while being married to a beautiful man with whom I share a companimal named, Lulu.
    Melly says:

I created a twice yearly quilt art retreat group. 10 women gather to work on their own work independently of one another. We critique, laugh, and utilize our time well. We all live within two hours of the retreat center, all food and board is included in a very low cost and we can imbibe if we choose to. I sometimes wish we could tack on one more day but beside that the group has met for almost 7 years.
