Working on Samples

Oh yes I am and right now…I can’t share them.  It’s not that I don’t want to, I do want to share.  Let’s just say I’m submitting the idea to a publisher this week (at the rate I’m going it’ll be Monday) and I need to hold back a bit.  The ideas that have been swirling around in my head are finally coming to life both on paper and on fabric.  I need to contact Ally and get some more of her hand dyes.  I love the beautiful nearly solid color.

I have a new quilt started – which I will share when I get pics.  Remember this beautiful silk organza?

Its been MistyFused to this Robert Kaufman Radiance.

Oh my it’s pretty.  Two layers of wool and a purple silk backing fabric (decorator weight) and the next quilt is beginning to come to life.  Tho I must profess I have no clue where this one is going.  It doesn’t have a name.  I can not for the life of me imagine what I’m thinking.  Maybe it’ll be a bigger version of the “Serendipity” series.  We’ll see.

Oh I have some red Radiance as well.  I think I may need to call Esterita again.

Happy Quilting!

Teri

  1. Your fabrics are lovely. That Radiance quilts beautifully. I’m going to put it in another of my projects one of these days. I look forward to hearing about the idea you submitted to a publisher. I hope we see the idea in book form!!!

  2. Good luck on your book! I have a piece of turquoise silk-cotton blend I got from Martha Pullen that is much like Radiance and am trying to figure out what to do with it. Look forward to seeing what you do with these wonderful fabrics.

      1. Oh, I know…I’ll make myself a quilted/embroidered vest to wear to special events and quilt shows. What do you think?
