Virtual Quilt Market March 2021

Here in Texas last weeks deep freeze delayed the start of Quilt Market Registration as many of the staff experienced near zero temps, power outages, burst pipes and are still in the process of recovering. Now that they have heat, internet, and a drink of water they’re ready to dig into Quilt Market registration. Virtual Spring Market Runs March 23 to 25, 2021.

Included in the Faculty Line Up are Ebony Love who is presenting on Delegating; Dr Elizabeth Townsend Garde presenting on Copyright and Trademark; Heidi Kaisand presenting Keeping Your Business Healthy; Kizer and Bender are reaching out to GenZ; and Mark Hyland is presenting a State of the Industry report. There are more classes and presenters that I’ll be sharing in the coming weeks.

As always there are Exhibitors to visit, and Take & Teach opportunities. Take and Teach are often things you can bring into the shop to engage your customers. I love the idea of a quarterly event featuring new product featured at Quilt Market, or a new way to use already in stock product.

C&T is one of the sponsors of Virtual Quilt Market. I’m honored to be part of the C&T Family and look forward to the new books and product coming out on the Market.

While Spring Quilt Market is not an in person event it’s still essential to make the connections within the industry, get acquainted with new fabric lines and product, and look for that thing that gives you the spark. While it’s a little more challenging to build relationships in a virtual environment there are still ways to do the building. For pattern designers this is still a great time to see what new lines are coming out to build new quilt designs.

I’ll be attending as much as possible during those days.

Happy Quilting,

Teri
