But that’s alright with me. I can live with that. This happens for me a lot, happy accidents I like to call them or happier surprises. I’m a design as you go kind of quilter. When I try and plan quilts they never go quite how I imagine them. Like this quilt – I spent a lot of time graphing this thing out and well, it’s not quite what I thought.
I want very much to share this quilt with you. Really, really I do. I’m very excited about this quilt. I like this quilt. The person who is supposed to get this quilt might not get it. Oh well, life happens.
This quilt is a challenge in so many ways. Color, design, color, piecing, making sure I have the correct amount of fabrics as part of the challenge. My seam ripper has been right at my side through this entire process.
Right now this quilt is bigger than I thought it would be and I’m fine with that. I like bigger quilts, so does the person I’m making the quilt for. I’ll tell ya this much, I’m not as far along as I should be however I still have a few days to catch up before I have to deliver it.
This isn’t the quilt:
More tomorrow. I’ll tell you how I tossed the templates for this quilt without taking photos – oh dear…
Happy quilting!
Teri
