Today is laundry day. I’m two days late with laundry day for some reason. I’m sure it’s really good if I think about it but I’m not going to think about the reason right now. It’s also change of season…putting the truly summery clothes away and taking out the warm wintery type. And the flannel sheets, who can forget the flannel sheets. I think it will end up being next week before we put the flannel sheets on the bed.
So some of my day has been a repeat of :down two flights to bring the laundry baskets down and change the laundry over and up two flights to put it away.
In the middle of all of this I’ve also been quilting…finishing up a few projects for the boutique at the quilt show. I get in the quilting zone this afternoon, stitching along and all of the sudden my finger hurts, I’m seeing pretty stars and I hear “snap!” and realize all in the same moment my finger was way too close to the needle some how and I stitched through the tip and snapped the needle pulling my finger away.
I took the needle out, put it in the plastic container that I keep the used needles in and stepped away from the machine. I don’t know if I need to get the quilting gloves or need to be more mindful when I’m in the quilting zone.
Let me know what you think.
Teri
I think BOTH! Time to step away from the machine and take a breath. Hope you are not in too much pain.
