Fall Quilt Market ready for Schoolhouse

The sun isn’t yet beginning to shine light on this new day. Houston is already buzzing with the sounds of a city waking up, cars honking, the shooshing of early morning traffic, buses stopping, the city is humming. In just a couple of hours the quilting professionals converge on the convention center to see what’s new and renew acquaintances and make new friends. There is a lot of work that goes into making Quilt Market happen. I’m grateful to be here, part of this vibrant, living part of the quilt world.

The coffee pot is making the familiar gurgling sounds of readiness. I’ve got a plan for the day of Schoolhouses to attend, and more importantly, people to meet.

A quick nap before the plane ride

If you have a moment follow @terilucas for Binding Babies Adventures. #bindingbabiesatmarket My Binding Baby needs a name, I’m thinking Pearl, but am not 100% sure. If you have a suggestion please let me know. Binding Babies are from the creative brains at Doohickey Designs, Shari Butler at the helm. They are really practical for attaching binding on our quilts. Best solution ever. And they make great travelling companions.

Have a great day and

Happy Quilting,

Teri

  1. terryknott – I enjoy the process of making a quilt from start to finish. It is fun to use a variety of fabric types from batik to Civil War reproductions--although not in the same project! I ALWAYS have more projects started than I finish these days and I'm trying to turn those works in progress into finished quilts.
