Okay, so here’s what Happened and Then

It’s been a week and it’s Wednesday, and had to check that by hovering the cursor over the time on the laptop. Last week I dropped something off with a friend here locally as I left her house on my next errand a small rock kicked up and hit the windshield causing a star right in the my personal sightline. My Sweetie is a foot taller so he would have noticed it but not. After a quick chat with him I stopped by our insurance agent. When we insured our vehicles here in TX we made sure we have glass coverage because we know this stuff happens. The glass folks were so busy that Tuesday (yesterday) was the first day they could come and gave me a window of available time.

okay it wasn’t this bad

At the end of February I put in a call to my computer company because the jack for headphones suddenly wasn’t working I was getting static in the ears, a wholly unpleasant experience. After submitting for a service call (it’s supposed to be next day) and getting the email that the tech would be here. The next couple of emails were informing me that the part was backordered (what part????, there was no discussion of a part!) until March 8th or 9th. And watching for updates on the service call didn’t offer a whole lot of information. Just as the guy fixing the windshield left I got a call from the computer tech asking if I’m available. Yep, c’mon over. He shows up with the motherboard, which I then learned that the audio jack is incorporated into, which he procedes to replace. Through the headphones I can hear without static so I think all is well. Then I try a video call. Uh nope, I can’t be heard. Grrrr. He’s still outside, I get him to come back in, and reinstalls the drivers. And still not quite working so I call Dell. He leaves because he’s got another call and needs to go. Again it seems like this is resolved so I try another video call. Nope. I can get Zoom to work but not the vid call. Grrr. Get on the phone with Dell again and work with another tech. Seems like things are working. Get off with this guy and try the vid call feature, I can hear in the headset but not through the mic. Bang. Head. Here.

In the midst of this day I got a text from a friend who apologized for not getting back to me with some information because Her Mother Died. Please take care of yourself! Do what you need to do. This other thing with me will wait.

the one million pebble dance

Now mind you I had a book to finish reading, I’d been planning on *this* blog post to let you know that in the afternoon I’d be doing an Instagram Live, and let you know about upcoming classes at Poppy Quilt N Sew. Well the day kept doing switchbacks with speed bumps along the route. After the second call to Dell dinner needed fixing and it wasn’t fixing itself.

I’m starting in person local teaching in April. Limited class size, continued masking.
April 12: Demo day I’m going to be in the classroom and stitch for the day.

Michelle hasn’t had the chance to add the classes to the website however you can call or email the store to sign up. I did leave When Alex & Jinny met in NY, Beauty Happened in the shop to display. If you’re in this area of TX and haven’t seen this quilt in person yet please head on over.

So I will have an Instagram Live this afternoon, somewhere around 3 PM Central Time.

Happy Quilting,

Teri
