Today’s post is all about Quilted Features that will full on debut on October 20th.
But First.
Earlier this week my Sweetie and I celebrated twenty-nine years as a married couple. We fully expected to be on vacation this week however some things came up with work for him so we took the day off going in search of pecan pie visiting Berdoll Pecan, Gift & Candy Company. We obtained some of the best pecan pie I’ve ever had. Next up was Texas Honey Bee Farm where some local honey made its way home with us. No tour that day however we will go back. I also picked up a rock just because it was pretty. I do have this thing for collecting stones and rocks. Somewhere there is one from Lisieux France, a couple from New Mexico and other places. I have to say spending the day with him, holding hands, getting annoyed, laughing, talking, and soaking in the moments is one of the best things ever.
I know it’s a little hard to see however it’s so worth sharing that the quilting you see in the Instagram image is one bobbin of thread. #quiltwithmoxie I am smitten with longarm quilting. This 40 x 90 quilt will have several split compliment color ways as I roll the quilt along. The more I get to stitch the more comfortable I am with both the physical space and the movement of the machine. I’m flitting back and forth between Manual Mode and Cruise Mode and am finally learning to make adjustments to get the kind of stitching I want. Some of this has come from listening to live streamed events from Handi Quilter. And with the way I learn some of this is the way I explore and make changes then go ask questions as to why this isn’t quite working. Then tweak things.
