Home

Tomorrow (June 25) I head home. Home has, for the last thirty-(almost) two years been wherever my Sweetie is. My sewing machine is home, although of late it mostly lays dormant through the days as I wend my way through all the big changes over the last several years. We all experienced Covid together, which hurt physically both for those who were ill and many, many who struggled with the isolation. And then there is life, you know the one that doesn’t necessarily get shared on the socials.

I’ve been visiting family in Maine this week and it’s been such a good trip. I’ve visited with family and some friends I’ve long thought lost to time and life changes. If you are in central Maine and have some time and need a bit of a pick me up visit and enjoy some delightful desserts from Keller’s – I’ll bring dessert. (link to fb page with all the appropriate info. I had a chocolate whoopie pie with peanut butter frosting last night that was just so delightful.

I’ve spent some time alone at the beach and some time with a nephew at the beach, had a lobster roll that while spendier than necessary was so good. My brother-in-love made lobster stew, we’ve played games, had ice cream, and talked. I even went to Mardens and you will be shocked to learn I didn’t buy even a fat quarter of fabric. My suitcase won’t be any heavier than when I flew up here. What did fly by was the days! Oh how quickly we’ve arrived to going to bed early, to leave early, to get to the airport early to catch a 5:40 am flight. Then a swift three hour layover before a flight back to Austin.

When I get home there is a class to teach at Poppy Quilt N Sew, a guild presentation to prepare for, and a private class to teach as well as a slight redesign on a quilt, oh and editing. I have editing to do.
Remember to comment on The Book Report for a chance to win an ebook of Scrappy Wonky Quilt Block Extravaganza. There will be more Debby on The Book Report and rumor has it Sophie Scardaci of CreativeSpark will join me in the fall season!

Happy Quilting,

Teri
