In just 4 more days

We (the Village Squares Quilter) begin setting up for Quilt Celebration X.  The show itself is Saturday & Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm at the Solomon Schechter School of Westchester in Hartsdale, NY.

This week will be exciting to say the least.  I’m putting the finishing touches on several items for the boutique.  I’ll have a pillow cover, place mats, quilted note cards, Knitters Tote, Diaper Bag, Quilters Carry-it, baby quilts and a few other bits and pieces in the boutique.  I’ll post pictures later today.

I still have 2 labels to put on quilts, one of which needs to be blocked.  I got side tracked yesterday quilting some lovely fabric to make four more place mats!  They’re quilted, what can I say?!  The fabric is chocolate brown with baby blue dots, the dots are grouped together in such a way that they form larger circles.  Pretty.

Since my sisters are coming for the weekend there is the usual household tidying up that needs to be accomplished.  Including making sure the couch has been vacuumed and pulled away from the wall.

And I get to work this week.  I got a call from Hartsdale Fabrics on Saturday and I’ll be working Tuesday & Thursday this week.  This is very exciting, I get to work with fabric and notions and quilters.  It doesn’t get much better than that I tell ya.

I’ve also decided what to do with “Dad Would be Honored”.  I sent a picture to my step-mom, she opened it while I was on the phone with her.  Memory of dad wearing these ties filled her voice.  In that moment I knew the quilt is hers.  She will treasure this quilt.

Happy Quilting!

Teri
