Welcome to the newest Season of the Book Report. I have three interviews lined up for May and June. First is Barbara Emodi talking about the latest in her Crafting for Murder Series, Crafting with Slander. Available through C&T Publishing paperback is $14.99, ebook is $11.99.
This delightful series, set in Gaspers Cove features a well established Crafting group of friends with a wide range of abilities and interests. There is a murder, a love interest and, when I asked Babs off camera “who done it?” because I wasn’t quite there yet, spoiler alert it wasn’t who I thought!
Crafting with Slander has one scene I totally love because it very much reminds me how quilters got ticked off with the toilet tissue company way back in the day informing them that quilters did not, in fact, use knitting needles to quilt. Quilting and knitting are not the same, shocking I know. Barbara does have quite the way with words drawing us into the story.
And yes, dear friends with that I’m going to leave you hanging!
When I asked Babs about her Flypaper thoughts she mentioned her substack How to be an Older Woman for Beginners. As I feel like I’m at the entry point for officially being an Older Woman this is great timing.
And guess what I get to give away an ebook! Yup. Post a comment about your favorite book series by Monday May 13, 2024, I’ll draw a winner on the 14th.
Happy Quilting,
Teri

I absoutly love these books. I wish Gaspers Cove was a real place, I would visit in a heartbeat.
Another series I really enjoyed was The Seaside Cafe Mysteries by Bree Baker
I love the Shenandoah Album series by Emilie Richards. The books all have quilt names for their titles and tell the stories of women in a small community near the Shenandoah River.
