and after some discussion I’m going to quilt it in black. Right now I’m using John Flynn’s “So Fine” by Superior Threads. Once I get the outlining done on the star parts and the circles I’ll switch to Libby Lehman’s Bottom Line for a little bit of sheen.
A few of the gals brought quilts for show & tell. We saw Mary Anne‘s “Grandma’s Hexagarden” in person – the picture on her blog does not do this quilt justice.
Renee has been traveling and her sewing machine is lonely as a result. I feel for them both, the symptoms of withdrawal must be difficult to deal with. She is looking forward to a bit of fabric shopping this week as a consolation.
Sandra showed us three art pieces she’s worked on or completed recently. They’re amazing. We’re encouraging her to enter them into a local juried show. I just checked their website this morning and there are several art quilt categories! Who knew? I’m going to try to enter my star into the show – I need to get a current photo though. So a trip to the camera shop is in order.
Once the camera & the computer are talking again I’ll post progress pictures.
I’ll post about Sunday’s group tomorrow I’m off for a day of teaching, guild and teaching

Teri – As usual, you are busy, busy, busy. Sounds like lots of fun, too. I wish I could have seen the Grandma’s Hexagarden in person. I really liked that quilt. Can’t wait to see your star quilt done. Enjoy. Carolyn in Kerrville, TX
Looking forward to seeing the photos! The quilting plan sounds wonderful!
