Mini Group and amazing quilt

Mary Anne Ciccotelli has developed an amazing technique for Grandmothers Flower garden that adds depth and dimension to this type of quilt.  Take a look here.  Mary Anee might be available to teach this technique (she has several classes that she’s available to teach.)

This afternoon is mini group at Giovanna’s house.  We get together roughly once a month to chat, quilt and enjoy one anothers company and friendship.  Giovanna has been in the process of reorganizing her quilt room and we’re going to help this afternoon with whatever we can.  I’m going to bring a quilt over that I basted yesterday & started to quilt.

My goal yesterday was to get a customer quilt started.  Plans got derailed when I had a few questions for the customer and needed to wait for an answer.  So I started quilting this quilt:

star-quilt-front-full-viewI’ve added a bit to this quilt since this picture was taken.  When my camera & the computer are talking to one another again I’ll have more photos.  I added some trapunto circles & half circles and some batik appliques (raw edge).  The quilting will be an essential element to the quilt.  Right now I’m outlining the diamonds and circles and will move on to a whole lot of quilting later on.

Happy Quilting!

Teri
