I kinda geeked out a few weeks ago when visiting Calico Gals in Syracuse NY. This is the home of the one and only Row by Row Experience. Row by Row is a nation wide shop hop for quilters. Shops design a row based on the theme, Taste the Experience for 2019. Once the theme is announced shop owners can let their imaginations run wild, as one should. The shop has a warm welcoming, old barn aesthetic reminiscent of the original shop. I’ll be back there again this week and hopefully will take come pictures.
Next up: The Pin Cushion, a family owned third generation fabric/quilt shop in Vineland NJ. Walking in the counters caught my eye immediately, reminding me of fabric shops of when I was a kid and one I worked in having quilting, fashion, and home dec fabric. Yarn, patterns, and amazing notions. The notions are worth the trip.
I’m heading out tomorrow, I’ve got my boots and snow brush packed, suitcases at the ready as i’m headed to Aurora Sew & Vac and a few other shops. Have a great week!
