When you have a moment head over and read Linda Pearl’s blog on taking classes at Vermont Quilt Festival. Here’s a link to the classes. It’ll be good to hit the road again. I’m going to head to Maine for a few days before to see family and friends.
A friend from when I lived in Georgia and served at Habitat for Humanity lives in the area messaged and I’ll be able to see her while I’m there.
This week is the Whole Cloth Adventure at Sew Much More in Austin. I love the images they’re using to show the possibilities.
I’m still learning the guitar and plan video content soon. Repetition, repetition, repetition is as essential in learning the guitar as it is in free-motion machine quilting, as it is in exercise. The guitar is going a little slow however I’m enjoying it. Learning a new, and related skill is so much fun. My fingers are slowly developing callouses and my fingers are slowly finding the strings as I play. Think finding the hand and foot coordination while stitching.
Have you met Michelle Freedman? You can see more of her quilts on Insta.
I met and worked with Michelle on Generation Q Magazine. She’s now working with Maywood Studios and doing some of her own design work. A few weeks ago Michelle shared her new logo and I love the feel of it so very much. So much so that I reached out to the designer and am having her work on a logo for me. It’ll be a little while before it’s on the designers schedule. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a little while so this is exciting.
I’m also planning on more video content including The Book Report and an Interview with an Quilter. For now I’m heading up to the studio to quilt for a while.
Happy Quilting,
Teri
