I just received this letter from the show organizers!
With heavy hearts, we are announcing the cancellation of the 2023 Vermont Quilt Festival. I know this will come as a surprise to many of you with it being so close to the planned show dates, but after careful review the board has decided not to continue moving forward.
Over the last 45 years, we at VQF have had the incredible privilege to organize an event where people from across the world come together to learn, grow, create, and become inspired to express themselves through the fabulous art of quilting. We wish it could have gone on another 45 years. The prudent and responsible thing to do at this point is to honor our debts, refund monies received, and end on a graceful note to honor the Vermont Quilt Festival name. If we are able to continue VQF in a virtual platform, we hope that you will consider joining us in creating a virtual learning space for quilters and sewing enthusiasts. As of this email, the 2023 instructor contracts are void. We will be in touch over the coming months regarding our status and ability to host classes in other formats.
If you’d signed up for one of my classes, Thank YOU! I appreciate it so much. Please give the organizers some time to return any money you’d invested in classes. This is hard on them too.

What sad news! I hope they can figure out how to be a virtual event.
Same. That’s a difficult transition for sure.
