After adding this image to the post, and tapped play on Pandora one of my favorite songs started playing. As the words spill from my brain to fingers breaking the silence of this last season the desire fills my being to write more, quilt again.
Winter is by far not my favorite season, the sky seems to enclose around me as the hours of daylight lessen, leaving behind something of a gray cast to the day, seemingly permeating my being and yet not. Part of this absolutely has to do with some on-going procrastination which I’m dealing with, and a lack of creativity, well, not so much a lack of creativity as much as it is a need to listen to where I’ve been, where the path is in front of me and being there.

Much of Central Texas was in the path of Totality for the Solar Eclipse yesterday. I love these kinds of events. I know there is science behind it however there is still a mystery behind it. No matter what people say we do not understand everything yet. While we’ve been studying and looking for ages and millenia we are still studying astronomical events.

The light shifting was delightful over the hour before totality.

There’s a subtlety afoot akin to sunset or sunrise.
I’m working on a new Bang Head Here Quilt
I’ll share more soon. I think my room is in need of a bit of a tidy up. Would you like to join me in this? Comment below and let me know! I’m going to record a couple of episodes of The Book Report very soon, stay tuned for new episodes.
Happy Stitching,
