The next few weeks are going to be B-U-S-Y!
46 days until “set up day” for the Village Squares Quilters “Quilt Celebration X”. I have 2 quilts that need to be quilted, a queen sized quilt and the guild challenge quilt, bibs that need to be completed by our guild meeting, grocery totes that need to be completed by the show and a quilt for a friend who has had a recent bout with breast cancer (I’m piecing the top). And I want to have another queen sized quilt done right around that time so that I can send it home with my sister for my niece.
The list of tasks grow daily and I’m continuing to enjoy meeting this challenge.
I’m hoping to be teaching at a quilt shop very soon. The interview went well and the shop owner had the idea that I can piggy back on to her machine quilting class, show my totes and offer a tote class. Thankfully this isn’t until November so I have a bit of time there to really work on the patterns.
These next few will be full. I’ll be around, blogging will be sparce.
I read a new blog: Lila she had a post on life being a bit messy and the studio and home reflecting that. She’s talking about having some “reality pictures” I’m going to join her when she does….as you can imagine with all of the aforementioned projects going on my sewing space is a wreck.
Happy Quilting!
I’ve been praying for you that you might get the job. I’m sure you are well qualified to teach about quilting!
Just popped over from Lila’s blog and was reading the comments on her latest. After reading it, I wanted to do my own reality check post today too!
Sounds like our To-do list have many of the same things on it. Good luck – and here to the super human accomplishements that we need to do the next 45 days! Thanks for all your hard work on the VSQ quilt show.
Hey! Thanks for your comments on my reality check post…I wish I could take your class on quilting! I need a refresher course:) Thanks for all your support, and good luck to you! I think you are awesome!
